Young Sharks Brief
We are now Open For Entries - it's free
We close for Entries on 7th July 2017
The Kinsale Sharks festival is a creative awards festival that takes place in the beautiful Irish seaside town of Kinsale every September.
What do we mean by ‘creative’?
Commercials (tv, cinema, radio, digital), short films, music videos, design, animation, young directors,…that kind of creative.
Who enters their work?
Creatives from Ireland, The UK, The States, France, Australia, New Zealand, Venezuela, Argentina, just about everywhere.
Plus each year there are talks from some of the world’s most creative people (three past speakers - writer on Fox TVs The Simpsons, Mike Scully. Creator of The Rocky Horror Show, Richard O’Brien. Legendary director of American History X, Tony Kaye).
So your brief?
Simple - we’re looking for a concept - an interesting, engaging, clever idea designed to tell the world “The 2017 Kinsale Sharks are open for entries.”
It can be a poster, print ad, TV or radio commercial, anything you want.
The idea is what will be judged and the idea judged to be the best entry will earn the winner/winning team free travel & admission to the festival, three nights accommodation and a pass to all talks and events along with a lunch with Tim O’Kennedy ex Nike, Wieden+Kennedy and D&AD.
