Schedule of Events at Kinsale

Tues 19th Sept

Tuesday is the perfect day to arrive if you want some quiet time before the festival kicks off. Tuesday gives you the opportunity to calmly take in the amazing beauty of Kinsale. To go for a walk on the beach maybe or do a bit of fishing or just simply sit on a the harbour wall and take in one of the best views in Ireland. In the evening, the town is packed with incredible restaurants, wonderful pubs and live music and later on if you fancy, you can hang out with our jurors at Actons Hotel (bar usually).

Weds 20th Sept

Wednesday is a good day to arrive can't get here on Tuesday. Actually arriving on Wednesday still gives you a day to ease into things (sort of) quietly and before the stampede begins (if you arrive on Wednesday, think of yourself as an athlete, doing a gentle warm-up before a marathon). Wednesday is also judging day 1.

Thurs 21st Sept

The perfect day to arrive..if you can’t get here Tuesday or Wednesday. Our delegate registration will be conveniently situated in the lobby area of Actons hotel, so after you're registered, you can order a cup of tea and a scone and show off your official wristband (some will notice you and try to act unimpressed but they'll be thinking 'I wish I had one"). Thursday is basically the day most people arrive and is 'official day one' with a LOT going on. In the daytime you can see screenings of the shortlisted films entered for the short films and music video awards. The screenings take place in the upstairs function room suite at Actons hotel. Then in the evening, time to dress up (ish) and get ready for the gala dinner - where the lucky winners will get the chance to collect their trophies and pose for photo or two. We recommend bed by 5.00am latest (remember, you've got a busy day Friday!) Thursday is judging Day 2
