Important note from the 2018 Jury: Not all Category sections had work that came up to Shortlist standard or above.
In some sections, work was deemed to be Shortlist standard but no Bronze, Silver or Gold awards were given.

This year's festival in Kinsale takes on a different shape. We've listened, taken feedback and changed our format. Gone are the excruciatingly long, lavish award-giving banquets and in comes a mix of inspiring talks and networking events held at various venues around the town.
Weds 26th September
10am - The Sharks office is situated in the lobby of The Trident Hotel 10am-5pm. Delegates should register and collect wristband needed to attend events.
6 - 7pm - The Trident Hotel, Schooner Bar hosts the traditional opening welcome with warming words from the Kinsale Chamber. Early opportunity to meet the Kinsale team and jurors.
9.30pm - After dinner we will gather at one of Kinsale’s favourite watering holes for a toe-tapping session at the Folk House
Thurs 27th September
10.30am - Delegates decide best New Director
12.15am - Merman director Juliet May shares secrets and anecdotes and asks whether comedy has frontiers or it should be allowed to go wherever it wants if there is an opportunity for laughter.
1.15pm - Liam Walsh of Nexus cuts through the hype and talks frankly about AR, VR, AI & Machine Learning. He discusses how these fit together and how they're relevant to content creators. Showing recent history, Liam explores what the current trending waves are and how they are likely to develop in the near future.
9.30pm - After dinner we head to Hamlets Bar in downtown Kinsale.
Fri 28th Sept
10am - Sarah Cutler of makemepulse takes a look at how creating a joined up tech/digital strategy can elevate your creative idea and make people fall back in love with your brand.
10.45am - Ben Jones Founder / Bull in a China Shop. Bitcoin to Sh*tCoin and Ethereum to complete delirium. In this light hearted, upbeat presentation, Ben will shed light on all aspects of this new world.
11.45am - This year Kes Gray, award winning advertising copywriter turned Children’s Book author tells his remarkable story. From ‘Dambusters’ to ‘Oi Frog!’ - life after advertising for Kes Gray.
12.45pm - A panel discussion with senior editors from award winning edit houses; Cut+Run, The Quarry & Final Cut chaired by LBB’s Laura Swinton.
2pm - Starts from Trident Hotel and race up to the next scheduled event at The Spaniards Pub. Pints along the way.
3pm - The Spaniard Pub
Best throw with 3 darts. €500 prize for the highest scoring Sharks Delegate.
4pm - Universal Music host live event at The Spaniards
9.30pm - Dance the night away into the wee hours with live music again provided by Universal Music.
Sat 29th Sept
10am - John Pallant introduces some simple techniques that Improvisers use on stage, to help them think faster and more fearlessly. He discusses how this can be applied to the creative process on the basis that it takes lots of ideas to get to great ideas.
10.30am - A panel exploring how companies can make a genuine commitment to good karma, raising the issues of Diversity, Opportunity, Flexible Working and The Environment.
11.45am - Neil Dawson explains how the election of Donald Trump is proof of the power of emotion. Despite Trump's obvious character flaws he was able to stir the emotions in enough Americans to vote him as the 45th USA President. This is a lesson to all of us. Emotion is an incredibly potent force. So why do so many advertisers shy away from it?
12.15pm - Mark Denton will demonstrate his proven formula of coming up with a schoolboy idea, scribbling it on a bit of paper, persuade other creative people to make it real, and finally stepping back to watch magical, unexpected results unfold.
1pm - Nils Leonard explains why our creativity matters now more than ever.

9.30pm - Held at one of Kinsale’s favourite downtown pubs The Lord Kingsale. Live music provided by Warner Music, including the re-nowned solo artiste Dan Caplen. Party away until the early hours.
